I discovered the considerable benefits that
Reflexology can bring after receiving treatment for my
arthritis. It reduced the pain, swellings and stiffness I had in
my joints to such an extent that it encouraged me to begin
training as a Reflexologist myself. I qualified as an
Association of Reflexologists Practitioner in July 2001 and find
it exceptionally rewarding being able to help others with their
health problems or simply to destress from the rigors of
everyday life.
In July 2003, I had the opportunity of futhering my Reflexology
studies at the Instituto de Reflexologia, Barcelona and was one
of the first 7 UK Reflexologists to gain qualifications in
Facial Reflexology under the personal direction of the School's
Founder and Director, Lone Sorensen-Lopez.
Her outstanding research and work over a period of 25 years using her unique
method of Facial Reflexology have won her much acclaim,
particularly in the rehabilitation of brain damaged patients.
In December 2003, I began offering Facial Reflexology as an
alternative therapy to Foot Reflexology. Soothing and gentle, it
is suitable for all ages, from babies to those in their nineties
and response to the therapy is often faster than when working on
the feet due to part of the therapy including the stimulation of
points in zones of the face which lead directly to the brain
and, via the central nervous system, correspond with body organs
and systems to help regain the equilibrium required for better
health.
