My background in natural health started when my father was
born in 1924 a vegetarian baby for health purposes and not ethical
ones, which is very different, so I grew up in this unique family
living by the laws of nature. In 1995 I needed a career change,
and started studying herbal medicine, later enrolling as a student
medical herbalist with the International Register of Consultant
Herbalists and Homeopaths. (I.R.C.H.).
The herbal medicine course included a module on Naturopathy,
which had been my background, being the umbrella of all complimentary
alternative therapies. As a student we were encouraged to study
many different therapies, which lead me to qualify as a Masseuse
and an Aromatherapist with The International Federation of Holistic
Therapists, qualifying as a Spiritual Healer, with Healers International
and qualifying as a Spiritual Response Therapist, which is another
therapy ahead of its time, using dowsing techniques. In 2007 I qualified in Facial Reflexology sorensensistem tm under both Nikke Ariff and Lone Sorensen Lopez in London. This for me was the most exciting of all natural therapies! Discovering its philosophies working on neurological and facial techniques which identify imbalances to initiate healing, seeing its true potential as a new system of medicine, for me being amongst its pioneers is absolutely fantastic. From the beginning of the course we had to take on case studies. One of my case studies had been diagnosed in 2003 with Alzheimer’s. On taking this gentleman on in May 2007, from day one of his first treatment, made progress! His colour was higher, and a persistent cough which he had since a bout of pneumonia Christmas 2006, cleared after 10 days of treating him. His wife also noticed that he was much calmer. Today, he continues with fortnightly treatments to maintain his good health and still able to make progress! What was interesting for me in taking on this gentleman long-term, is that throughout the whole of winter 2007 – 2008 he did not have a cough or cold. He still remains very well. Since qualifying, and with the continuing results from my case studies, has lead me to the elderly, where I have given talks and treatments in residential homes. Another of my clients was crippled with rheumatoid arthritis, where her posture resembled a crab, her back was doubled over to support her legs, which were bent out at the knees, which threw her whole posture out of line, leaving her feet over two foot apart. On taking off her slippers, I observed that all her toes were crossed. After her first treatment her posture resembled a jockey, as her back had straightened which had also brought her legs in slightly. After another 3 weekly treatments noticed that all the ladies toes were now straight. I was so amazed at the speed in which the treatment had worked, that I had to ask Matron to come and look at her feet. Matron said how wonderful the treatment was, and commented on the fact she had noticed that the lady was also more upright and walking more normally. The treatment had indeed brought the lady’s legs back into a more natural position, she now walks with her feet together, it is only her knees which are slightly out of line. To think that this wonderful simple system of medicine could straighten someone’s rheumatic joints without surgery has to be noted. Just as I say an amazing system of medicine, which works for everyone, with only two contraindications, makes this a very safe treatment from new born babies, through to terminally ill people, it is even safe to use in pregnancy. It is so rewarding to see so many people regain their health. Although I am only just starting in my second year of practise, I am building my reputation on the phenomenal results that I am achieving with my clients. Regarding my herbal studies, I recently spoke with the director of studies with the I.R.C.H., to explain about this new system of medicine, and to ask if my studies could be put on hold, the response I had, was that from themselves being on various health boards, told me that the thinking of our future medicine will be carried out by our hands! I was also invited to put my name forward as a guest speaker for their conference 2009 to talk on Facial Reflexology sorensensistem tm. From my own background knowledge and experience of alternative and/or complimentary medicine, Facial Reflexology sorensensistem tm, will apart for me being my number one therapy, will become the number one therapy for everyone in the future. I am mobile for home visits, which I prefer, as the client doesn’t have to get into a car to drive anywhere after their treatment, which makes it more beneficial. The oils I use, are rose hip seed carrier oil with rose absolute together with a rose and honey massage crème which is made to a unique organic recipe by third generation medical herbalist.
